Pausing the Vaccine Requirement for Xerox Suppliers

A Federal Court recently blocked enforcement of the Executive Order requiring all U.S. employees of Federal contractors to be fully vaccinated. As a result, we are currently pausing all efforts to comply with the Executive Order. This means until a final decision is made on the Executive Order by the Courts, we will not require Xerox suppliers to adopt the Federal government’s vaccine mandate clause or that their employees be fully vaccinated, unless it is required by a Xerox customer. Some Xerox customers, including Federal agencies, will continue to require contractors entering their premises to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination. We will comply with these requirements if they are permissible in the relevant state. The pause of our vaccine efforts does not change our longstanding health and safety protocols, which include wearing a 3-ply surgical mask or better in many circumstances and completing a daily health check (only applicable to certain supplier employees supporting Xerox). We also continue to encourage everyone to get vaccinated and receive their booster when they are eligible. Vaccines are our best weapon against the virus. The situation will undoubtedly continue to evolve. As things change, we will provide updates on our supplier policies here. This means that we will no longer send email notifications and we ask that you check this webpage often for updates. This will help us communicate with you in a more timely and effective manner.

Thank you for staying abreast of the changes and doing all you can to help us keep the Xerox community safe.

Note to suppliers performing work on behalf of Xerox in New York City

New York City (NYC) has recently expanded its city-wide vaccine mandate, requiring workers who perform in-person work or interact with the public in the course of business to show proof they received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by December 27, 2021. Workers must receive their second vaccine dose by February 10, 2022 (for Pfizer or Moderna vaccines). The city also requires businesses operating in the city to collect and maintain employees’ vaccine status. Xerox complies with all state and customer-mandated vaccine requirements. Non-employee workers performing work on behalf of Xerox must provide vaccination proof to their employers. Xerox or customers may request your employee provide proof of vaccination, and you may also be asked to provide proof of vaccination when entering other sites in NYC. Visit the NYC Public Health website for additional information about NYC’s vaccine mandate and proof of vaccination.
